The residents of Carnuntum

Meet the inhabitants of ancient Carnuntum on October 6. Next Sunday, the Romans will return to the reconstructed houses of the Roman quarter and talk about their lives, their city and, of course, especially about “their” houses and their special history.

Throughout Sunday, you will be able to go inside the houses, where the residents will tell you about their everyday lives and also about the special features of life 1,700 years ago. All the residents wear Roman clothing, so the visit is particularly interesting for families with children.  

Our tip: be sure to book one of our guided tours, where you will not only get to know all the houses in the district, but also get to talk to the residents on the day.
