In the living rooms of the Romans
The houses in the Roman Quarter will be filled with life and reenactors will be on hand to answer curious visitor questions. What was family life like in Roman times? What was the role of women in the ancient world? And how can one imagine civil life in the city of Carnuntum at that time? During a walk through the Roman houses you can meet the inhabitants of Carnuntum and learn their interesting stories.
Ancient tastings from the Roman kitchen
The kitchens in the houses are enlivened as in Roman times. Freshly baked Roman flatbread smells tempting and can be tasted with moretum (sheep cheese-herb spread), honey and other Roman sauces. The Puls cereal stew, the main meal for legionnaires and many Roman citizens, is also freshly prepared on the Roman stove.
Time travel tour with Phila

She has done well and is proud to be the children's wet nurse (nanny) in such a rich and distinguished house. Go on a time travel with Phila and experience how Roman everyday life in Carnuntum, seen from this unusual perspective, might have happened.
